All four seedlings took a breather for a couple of days after opening up their cotyledon leaves and now they’ve started growing their first set of true leaves. Here’s Fathima (no preferential treatment here – it’s just that since she popped out first, hers are the most well developed :) ):
Waiting for them to grow a few more centimeters before I transplant them into gamlas the size of which will be similar to the one all four are in right now. I went to the horticultural society and bought 8 bags of top quality soil, organic compost, and some potassium supplement.
I’m still not sure as to how deep they must finally be planted, or how wide a space I should give them. But one step at a time I guess. I’m keeping a close watch on the garden to see which areas get enough sunlight, but not too much. This is going to be an exercise in balance. Let’s hope I can maintain it.

Aahhh! I know it's the greatest feeling to see your seddlings' true leaves, isn't it?
BTW, I read your comment over at Geekgardeners' where you mentioned that you ordered seeds from a UK site. Can you tell me the website? How much did it cost?

Thanks for dropping by Chandramouli. Awesome blog you have – I've never seen one with so many pictures!
Here are the tomatoes I ordered. Cost of Seeds = 2 pounds. Shipping cost = 5 pounds! So around 700 bucks overall for 95 seeds.
