November 18, 2011November 10, 2011 by bhagwad
How can you do this to someone??

In a Hindi movie I recently watched, the hero abandons his dog on the streets. What the hell were the script writers thinking?

Would you Die for your Country?

November 6, 2011November 5, 2011 by bhagwad
Just Following Orders?

I’m incapable of dying for an abstract boundary and I can’t blindly obey anyone if my life is at risk. I would make a horrible soldier.

September 28, 2011 by bhagwad
Do Indian Laws encourage women to be adults?

Courts can’t be allowed to decide what is acceptable in marriage. Laws allowing charges of “mental cruelty” imply that women are not adults.

Did he force her to commit suicide?

September 23, 2011September 22, 2011 by bhagwad
Facebook Breakup - who to blame for a suicide?

It’s not right to blame a person if their ex boyfriend or girlfriend commits suicide. A person killing themselves is their own choice, and while there are exceptions, they are not the rule.

Why the Lokpal needn’t fix the “root cause” of corruption

August 27, 2011 by bhagwad
The purpose of the Lokpal is to punish corruption - not prevent it

The lokpal bill doesn’t need to address the “root causes” of corruption. It focuses on effective punishment of the guilty. Prevention of corruption is a different story altogether.

The Indian Government can ONLY stop PEACEFUL protests like Hazare’s!

August 16, 2011 by bhagwad
Hazare's Peaceful Protest is in no danger of turning Violent

The Indian police and the government have the guts to only stop peaceful protests. When mobs actually turn violent, or threaten to do so they’re nowhere to be seen.
